Miscellany!
Forgot to watch Torchwood again last night. Oops. I'll get to it. I've been TiVoing S3 of Doctor Who as it airs on SciFi and BBC America, just to have something to watch at 1 am while I'm an insomniac. SciFi is having an S2 marathon tomorrow, but the further removed I get from S2, the less I like it. S1 and S3 for me (minus Saxon), yo. And probably S4, but we'll see how that goes.

For the first time since the Writers' Strike, I'm really annoyed that my TV has been interfered with. I want more House! This week's episode was awesome. I didn't get to see the post-Superbowl episode, because my DVR recorded 40 minutes of post-game (zzzz), so I'll have to get that later. But still! Want more! Sadface. (Despite my annoyance, I still support the writers. My Uncle, who works on How I Met Your Mother, got laid off a few months ago and is really really depressed about the whole situation. There's no work for guys like him, and even when the strike end his situation doesn't change. But I still support the writers. And my Uncle.)

So I tried World of Warcraft. I think my free trial is up tomorrow. Meh. It was sort of fun when I was leveling up really fast, but then I needed to get into groups to do anything. I like MMORPGS where group play is an option but you can still do plenty of stuff and level up at a decent rate without forcing you to interact with other players. So obviously the MM is lost on me. Also there was a lot of running. You need to be a level 40 just to learn to ride anything, and the gryphons were few and far between (at least for someone of my level). So I'm not going to pay a monthly fee for that. I can have more fun with a one-time priced game. Maybe if I have a cadre of friends that I joined up with it'd be better, but. Still a lot of running. And then I'd feel pressure to be on the game more often than the couple hours (if that) a day I can commit.

And, finally, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles may be the slashiest show of the season. Including Cashmere Mafia, which has an openly not-straight main character (although House has its share, if only because I slash Olivia Wilde with everyone... especially me). Granted, I am very good at finding subtext where none is intended, and I fully accept the reality that Sarah and Cameron will never ever hook up. But a girl can dream.
