Okay, so after we got back to San Francisco from Across The Bay, it was cold and there were naval personnel everywhere. Fleet Week, and all. We ended up waiting awhile for a bus back, and then it sat in traffic for awhile in North Beach, and then we were back at the hotel. Once again, my sister took a shower to get warm. Then we all argued about dinner, behavior, coolness. Whatever. It was the obligatory huge family fight. We worked it out after a couple of hours and went to a Mexican tapas place for dinner. Colibri. Really really really good. I have to say that I ate really freaking well this weekend.
After that, it was just about midnight, so we headed back to the hotel to sleep.
Sunday we slept in a bit. Dana worked on a quiz for school, and we didn't really set off 'til about 11. Then we argued about breakfast. Eventually Dana gave up and bought a protein bar in a 7-11. Fine by me. Then we walked up to Chinatown and wandered around the shops and such. It was pretty quiet for Chinatown, but it was a Sunday morning, so I guess that was to be expected.

We ate lunch at a place called House of Nanking, which is something of a tourist spot. The deal is that you say what sort of man ingredient you like, and they make you whatever you want. That caused a fight at our table, since my sister has become the pickiest eater in the universe. But it all turned out just fine, and the food was really good, and I didn't die of anything. Awesome.
After that, we walked over to California and took the cable car up to Van Ness. Very fun. Dana and I hung off the side the whole time, and I probably flashed my underwear at about 150 people, since I'm an idiot and didn't bring a belt to San Francisco with me. Why don't I just buy a belt? That's a really good question, thanks.

We then walked down Van Ness, which was a mistake. We should've waited for the bus and taken it to Mission. But, no. So we ended up walking from Van Ness to Valencia and 20th where we met Deb. Then we walked to Mission Dolores Park, where we got a faboo view of the city (and the Blue Angels, again), and then walked to the Castro. So it was something of a walking tour of San Francisco. But because we were effing tired, we took the bus from the Castro back to Haight, because my sister wanted to shop some more on Haight.
So we went shoe shopping on Haight for my sister. Also to one of the vintage stores. At the former, we got a call from our cousin: the house had been broken into. This, obviously, made my mom particularly unhappy. Angst ensued, calls were made, people were gotten a hold of (or not), and everything was worked out as well as it could be from 3000 miles away. Then Kate met us at Magnolia for dinner and beer. The dinner wasn't that great (but it was the first time, so I'd go back) but the beer was good.

After dinner, we went down the street for some dessert crepes, and then called it a night. Mom, Dana, and I went to the hotel where they packed while I flopped around. Then sleep.
The next morning, we ate breakfast across the street at the Hyatt's restaurant. Absolutely fantastic. I got this really swanky eggs benedict. So good. Then mom and Dana left for the airport, and I came back to my place, where I wrote part one.
And that was my birthday weekend. Last night I saw 24 Hours on Craigslist, which wasn't that great. The director spoke afterwards, which wasn't as exciting as it could've been, because people ask silly questions. But whatever.
Now it's off to the Mission to meet Deb and Kate for dinner before Commander in Chief. I still haven't seen last week's SVU. I'll catch up tonight or tomorrow. Oy. Teeeeeveeee.
