I watched An Unearthly Child for the first time the other day, deciding it was high time I got familiar with some black and white Who.

It's pretty amazing that Doctor Who has gone from such humble beginnings, to this massive institution that it's become, no? It makes me feel quite awed.

Loved AUC, by the way. Thought it was a terrific beginning to Whoniverse. I might love Susan, Ian and Barbara just a little!

I'm potentially kicking my miserly ways to the curb, and thinking about buying a Wii. I have a few questions though:

1) Will my GC Wavebird work with the Wii?

2) Will I be able to play the Zelda Collection with the Wavebird, assuming the Wavebird works at all?

3) Are all Wii HDs the same size, and will I be able to move over saves from my GC memory card?

4) Is Mario Galaxy a good choice as a first Wii game?

Due to my being a dufus, and having all my past consoles given to me as gifts, any pertinent comments concerning my Wii purchase will be appreciated. TIA

Oh, it's your basic, samey sue-crap, but it's getting worse all the time.

Mid-April my friend and I found out that Martin Scorsese was filming his new movie, Shutter Island, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Michelle Williams, Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley, in Ipswich, Massachusetts - 20 minutes from our college. We decided to do some stalking. We got on set 3 days in a row. After minor set backs like the cast not being there or them not filming that day, we finally got on set one of the days the entire cast was there.

Archuleta's Dad Gives Producer Cold Shoulder



Jeff Archuleta, David's dad, showed up in the audience for tonight's "American idol" and made it clear -- he's pissed at the producers.

As we first reported, Jeff was such a troublemaker, he was banned from backstage rehearsals. According to our spies, on tonight's show during commercials, Jeff shot darts at Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe. J.A. stared Nigel down and was enraged as he watched the E.P. visibly excited as David Cook performed.

Jeff seemed chummy with Randy. The two bro'd out during several breaks. He hugged Paula two times and whispered something in her ear and she nodded in agreement. No interaction at all with Simon.

Jeff was trying to get the attention of legendary songwriter Diane Warren, but she pretty much wouldn't give him the time of day.
